UKRAINIAN ATHLETICS FEDERATION
A public union created for the purpose of developing
and popularizing athletics in Ukraine
BACKGROUND
The previous year has changed Ukraine dramatically.
2022 changed all of us, our history and our self-perception.
The Ukrainian Athletics Federation also demanded changes, so we faced the challenge of creating an identity with new energy to stand out in international competitions. Strong, up-to-date and authentically Ukrainian.
LOGO
The new logo was inspired by national motives.
We used a symbol from our coat of arms – a gyrfalcon which was the prototype of the Ukrainian sacred symbol –the trident, tryzub.
In our coat of arms, it flies down to attack prey.
We interpreted this story and changed his direction, so now a gyrfalcon flies forward and upwards.
We combined it with the Olympic Flame to emphasize the will and the Ukrainian spirit which leads our athletes and all of us to victory.
